Churn Creek Cellars has won several awards for their wine.

Churn Creek Cellars has been fortunate to be recognized for its wine. Our 2011 white dessert wine took the 'Best of Show' honor in the amateur class at the Shasta District Fair wine competition in 2012. This feat is one of the reasons we decided to obtain our federal bond and start making wine on a commercial basis. In fact, 4 of the top 5 wines in the amateur class that year were made by Denise and Layne.

The 2014 competition was a big win for Churn Creek Cellars, as it's Petite Sirah was crowned 'Best of Show' in the Commercial Division. This heavyweight stood up to the competition and did not back down. SInce then, C.C.C. has won the "Best fo Show" award 3 of the past 4 years! We invite you to the Tasting Room to pour you a sample and let you "judge for yourself".

Our entries in the 2016 and 2017 Fingerlakes International Wine Competition scored well. Our 2013 Chardonnay and Sangiovese each received a "bronze" medal in 2016 along with our Shasta Syrah and Sangiovese in 2017. The 2014 Pinot Grigio scored a "silver" medal in 2016 and so did the 2014 Master Craftsman Super Tuscan Blend red wine in 2017. We look forward to entering more competitions in the future.
